POP ASIA
Today, the West is actively integrating Asian culture into its consciousness. As part of this process, the geographical scope of art has been expanded, resulting in an increasing number of Asian artists who, for their part, are trying to conceptualize the Western world. “Wouldn't it be a good idea to look at Asia through the eyes of an artist with a Western mindset?” – we asked ourselves, and decided to depict Asia through the mirror of our perceptions.
Using the methods of pop art (repeating images, integrating ready-made objects into the artwork, color variability), we expand the thematic and formal boundaries of pop art. In the process of creating our works, we make use of products that are available on the Internet: 3D models and graphical images that can be acquired on various web-stocks. We use this language to talk about the total imitation of the essential fundamentals of life that has afflicted modern culture, about the consumption of substitutes of culture, and about technological disasters.
We live in different countries (Russia and Israel) and use Skype to work on our projects. This is an entirely new mode of creating art, with the artwork coming into existence somewhere in the virtual space between our computers. The ability to broadcast the image to each other, creating and discussing it simultaneously, allows us to synchronize our creative potentials.

NEW IDENTITY
The series of works “New Identity” has been constructed through the repeated use of the same ready-made 3D character, which is given a new identity in each work through minimal transformation of the image. In this way, we create an entire sequence of incarnations (avatars) of the same virtual object – from the imported image of
a spiritual mentor to the depiction of a carnivalesque sex symbol.
